Page Background[]

Can we change the background to solid black instead of being an opaque black? Thanks - Littlefreak3000 (talk) 02:35, 16 November 2013 (UTC)

Of course — Game widow (talk) 16:36, 16 November 2013 (UTC)

Editing Hydra.css[]

Is the reason I can't edit hyrda.css is because I am not admin? I sent Benjamin my user name via email to get admin access. When can I expect that?

Admin Rights?[]

Hi!

I guess you're the one I should talk about this? I used to be an admin (I was rpv1986) on awesomenauts wiki before the move to gamepedia. Do I have to do something to get my admin rights back? There are a few things I gotta edit but can't at the moment.

Thank you for your time. :)

Others[]

Could you also add shoful1, Memore6Me9, and I have one more I'm still waiting on. He made an account I think he said the name was Rins1 but he hasn't made an edit yet so its not showing up. Hes the guy that makes all our nice animated gifs.

You mean as administrators ? (assuming that's what you meant, and done) — Game widow (talk) 23:00, 18 November 2013 (UTC)

Hmmm[]

Not Rins1, but MrRins

Gamepedia's Spam Filter causing me trouble.[]

Hi,

I'm trying to upload videos from youtube to Ted McPain's page as I always did, but the spam filter is preventing me from doing so. I need to upload these files, what should I do?

Edit: I believe it has something to do with this?

Edit #2: Nevermind. I've found my own way around that. Thanks anyway.

(Rpvarela (talk) 19:58, 13 December 2013 (UTC))

Glad you found a workaround. We don't tend to upload videos here, we just link to them using the Embed Video extension (syntax: {{#ev:youtube|<youtube id>}} — Game widow (talk) 02:43, 14 December 2013 (UTC)

IFrame Widget[]

Hey Game Widow, So some editors have been wanting to make a page dedicated to Awesomenauts twitch streams. To do that we want to be able to use be able to use the iframes produced by streambadge.com, so I am asking if we can add the Iframe widget to our wiki. I know other Gamepedias use it. Thanks

I'll see what i can do — Game widow (talk) 02:41, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
OK, i've enabled widgets on this wiki and added the Iframe widget, sample code follows:
 {{#widget:Iframe
 |url=http://www.twitch.tv/widgets/live_embed_player.swf?channel=mce626
 |width=410
 |height=342
 |border=0
 }}
Just fill in the appropriate url and sizing and you should be good to go — Game widow (talk) 18:53, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
Just a quick note to let you know that you can now use EmbedVideo for twitch video streams, which is much better than an iframe widget — Game widow (talk) 16:17, 29 September 2014 (UTC)

New admins?[]

Hey! rpvarela here!

Who should I talk to about making other contributors into admins? I could use a hand here and I got someone that might be able to help me. Is it possible to do so? Thank you for your time. Rpvarela (talk) 02:00, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

I can help you, as can your new wiki manager, Encredechine. Just let either of us know who these users are — Game widow (talk) 11:51, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

Oh, I see.

Alright then... Promote him, please! :D

Rpvarela (talk) 16:40, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

Encredechine has promoted Ketchup. — Game widow (talk) 17:08, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

Sidebar[]

Yeah, that'd be nice! Thanks! :) Rpvarela (talk) 15:20, 3 June 2014 (UTC)

Done! — Game widow (talk) 16:17, 3 June 2014 (UTC)

Looks good, but it seems like the link to the "Starstorm" is cut off, for some reason. Think the side bar should be sligtly increased in width? Rpvarela (talk) 17:04, 3 June 2014 (UTC)

Sure, we can try that — Game widow (talk) 17:05, 3 June 2014 (UTC)
Done, let me know if there are any unexpected side effects. — Game widow (talk) 17:18, 3 June 2014 (UTC)

Buggy .ogg files?[]

Hi Game Widow! rpvarela here.

I've recently removed all the youtube links from the 'nauts' information tabs and replaced them with actual .ogg files.

Thing is, a lot of people are reporting errors when viewing them, sometimes with differences between the tab: http://awesomenauts.gamepedia.com/Skree#tab=Upgrades and the actual page: http://awesomenauts.gamepedia.com/Skree/Information (these are just example, it is the same for every 'naut)

I wonder if you could tell us what's causing it. I have no idea :p

Thanks in advance for your time.

Hi there, I don't think you've done anything wrong here. I believe this is a problem which was introduced in the last major platform change. I have reported it and will keep you posted. Please be patient as this is the July 4 weekend in the US where the tech team is based. — Game widow (talk) 15:35, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
We appear to be half way to a solution: the menu button has been fixed for the collapsed version of the timedmediahandler, but not for the expanded version. I forwarded this new bit of information to the tech team for action. — Game widow (talk) 12:57, 9 July 2014 (UTC)

Poll problems?[]

Hi!

I've uploaded a new poll to the main page via this template: http://awesomenauts.gamepedia.com/Template:MainPagePoll but it seems I'm the only one who can see it. I've asked some friends and they still see the one from last week.

Any idea what's up with that?

Rpvarela (talk) 16:34, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

EDIT: NVM that. It seems there is a delay when I upload a new poll before people can see it. Sorry for that.

Rpvarela (talk) 16:43, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

No problem at all :) — Game widow (talk) 19:38, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

Enable Loops?[]

So, I got this request yesterday:

"Could you please enable the Loops extension? It's listed under the optional extensions we can use here. http://help.gamepedia.com/Extensions#Optional_Allowed_Extensions"

I think only someone from Gamepedia itself can do it, right? Can you so this? Thanks in advance! :D Rpvarela (talk) 12:40, 4 August 2014 (UTC)

Correct, i'll get that done for you asap :) — Game widow (talk) 14:33, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
It should now be active — Game widow (talk) 14:38, 4 August 2014 (UTC)

Thanks!

Rpvarela (talk) 17:18, 4 August 2014 (UTC)

Part of the main page is cut-off after latest Gamepedia maintenance[]

What the title says. It may just be my small monitor (1366x768), but part of the main page is cut-off. You can see it the "The Game" box as well as on the "Achievements" button. I wonder if there's a way to fix it?

Thanks in advance,

Rpvarela (talk) 04:00, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

I set the default font-size to 90%, but i can't be sure that makes it the same size it was before. The issue is a combination of your small monitor and the way you laid out the page. — Game widow (talk) 11:19, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

Heading 2 font problems?[]

Hello, Game Widow! rpvarela here again.
I've recently made some edits and I've noticed something: Heading 2 text (you know, this one where you gotta type in ==text== in order to use) is smaller than heading 3 text because it isn't using Awesomenauts' default font. Here is an example. As you can see, the "Cooldown reducing abilities and upgrades" heading is supposed to be larger than the 'naut names below (Admiral Swiggins, Ayla and so forth).

Is there a way to fix this? Thanks in advance, for your time! :)

Rpvarela (talk) 02:23, 29 September 2014 (UTC)

This is strange, new behaviour. I have reported it to our dev team and will keep you posted. Normally, it would be easily fixed but something is overriding whatever measures I've tried so far. — Game widow (talk) 14:31, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
Hi Game Widow, it's me again. Sorry to bother ya, but do you have any updates on this issue? Has the dev team said anything about it? Thanks in advance!:D Rpvarela (talk) 01:47, 28 October 2014 (UTC)

H3 test text[]

The heading "Heading 2 font problems?" is h2 here and "H3 test text" is h3, on my browser, h2 is larger than h3 and it's using the Awesomenauts font. Can you provide a screenshot of what you see? — Game widow (talk) 13:24, 28 October 2014 (UTC)

Well, I see you've made several changes to the WIki on the recent changes log. I don't know which one of them did it, but I just saw that the issue is fixed now! Heading 2 text is using Ethnocentric font again just like it was before! Thank you very much! :D Rpvarela (talk) 18:00, 28 October 2014 (UTC)
I made those changes on September 29, 2014 (ref: change log) — Game widow (talk) 18:45, 28 October 2014 (UTC)

Polls[]

Hey Game Widow!

Remember a while ago when I told you (at least I think it was you) that only registed Wiki users could vote on the polls? You guys fixed this error, enabling polls for everyone again, but it seems like it is back somehow. I got a report on the Awesomenauts forums that unregistered users are unable to vote again.

Can you guys fix it again, please?

Thanks in advance! :D

Rpvarela (talk) 04:37, 12 October 2014 (UTC)

Sorry it's been so long, but is this still an issue ? I tried voting in the poll on the mainpage while logged out and it seemed fine — Game widow (talk) 22:23, 2 December 2014 (UTC)

Nah, it is no longer an issue. Thanks though! :D Rpvarela (talk) 22:24, 2 December 2014 (UTC)

"null?"[]

Hey Gamewidow! rpvarela here.

I've noticed that when I'm editing a page, there is an option to "drop files here" so I can add them to the page, but if I upload an image, it automatically gets a "null" at the end (for example: [[File:imagename.pngnull]]) every single time. Would you know what's causing this and/or if it can be fixed?

Thanks in advance!

Rpvarela (talk) 20:52, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

Certainly, but it's unlikely anything will get done until the tech team is back from their vacation. Also, could you try to describe the steps to reproduce this in as much detail as possible (possibly with a screenshot) ? — Game widow (talk) 13:58, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
There it is: Null

Rpvarela (talk) 20:31, 24 December 2014 (UTC)

cool! i will definitely pass it on — Game widow (talk) 03:46, 26 December 2014 (UTC)

Overlapping quotes[]

Hey, Game Widow!

rpvarela here. I seem to have come across a new problem on the Wiki: if you go to any awesomenaut page and click on the information tab, you will notice that the Awesomenauts' text quotes are overlapping with the play audio button (the look like this, in case you have trouble vizualizing it). This happens on every awesomenaut information tab and on different browsers, although I've noticed that providing a direct link to the page (such as this: http://awesomenauts.gamepedia.com/Clunk#tab=Information for example) will not cause this error to occur.

Any idea of what's causing this and what can be done to fix it?

Thanks in advance!

Rpvarela (talk) 15:30, 22 March 2015 (UTC)

There was an update to the extension last wednesday and I'm fairly sure that if you open the affected pages and resave (no change necessary) they'll go back to looking normal. — Game widow (talk) 15:38, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
Nope. Just tested it. That didn't do the trick and I still see the quotes and audio overlapping. Rpvarela (talk) 18:48, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
Maybe you're seeing a cached version? This is what i see — Game widow (talk) 20:18, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
Apologies, I completely forgot to get back to you. Yeah it was a cached version and the problem was solved, thanks! Rpvarela (talk) 17:44, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
No worries :) i'm just glad it's resolved. — Game widow (talk) 19:18, 28 March 2015 (UTC)

Hey there, Game Widow! I'm reopening this topic because it seems like going for the non-cached version of the page works (ctrl + F5 fixes it). It requires me to do this every single time I wanna visit the page. And many other users are certainly unaware of this issue and of the solution that fixes it. Is there a way to fix this permanently so that the page doesn't keep overlapping the quotes? Rpvarela (talk) 04:20, 25 May 2015 (UTC)

It's a holiday in the US today, so there isn't much i can do right now, but I will ask our platform team about it as soon as they are back in the office — Game widow (talk) 12:03, 25 May 2015 (UTC)
Oh I was not aware, I'm not American. Thanks for the fast reply though. Rpvarela (talk) 12:27, 25 May 2015 (UTC)
I'm not American, either :) but Curse is an American company — Game widow (talk) 12:49, 25 May 2015 (UTC)
Hey Game Widow. Any news on this? Rpvarela (talk) 15:04, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
I have not, sorry! I will follow up on Monday — Game widow (talk) 15:20, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
I've logged a ticket with the platform team — Game widow (talk) 18:01, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
Sadly, the news is not good. From the platform team: "There has been a major overhaul of TMH including a complete replacement OGG Vorbis handler library. However, all of these fixes were done in a Mediawiki 1.25 exclusive branch and did not work on our current version. We tried to patch in a newer version back in March, but could only bring over a few fixes. A few more important fixes have again been applied, but none that will solve this particular issue."
We are moving to MW 1.25, but not until the fall, so until then, i'm afraid we are stuck with the existing behaviour. — Game widow (talk) 17:10, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
Oh, but this is good news then. I mean, it means a solution is coming, even if it takes a while for it to happen! :) So, the fall huh? That would be spring in this hemisphere so... September-December? I can wait. Thanks for the feedback! Rpvarela (talk) 17:18, 16 June 2015 (UTC)

Can't login on the Wiki on Mozilla Firefox?[]

Hey Gamewidow, it's me again.

Seems like I'm unable to log in on the Wiki on Mozilla Firefox. I click the sign in button and get this extension on the browser address: /?loggedin=true but nothing happens. Any idea what's causing this? Rpvarela (talk) 00:31, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

I don't know exactly, but you are not the only person getting this. We do have a ticket open and it is being worked on. Meanwhile, have you tried clearing all your gamepedia cookies and your browser cache ? We did more to https as the protocol for logging, so perhaps if you try manually updating the url you get when you try to sign in from http to https, that might work. If it does, please do let me know. — Game widow (talk) 12:44, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
Deleting all cookies worked, thanks! Rpvarela (talk) 17:21, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
Well thank you for letting me know :) That helps a great deal — Game widow (talk) 19:15, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

Huge space on the Wiki?[]

Hey Game Widow! rpvarela here.

Seems like the Wiki has a problem: if you click this link here you'll notice that there's a huge empty space above the Wiki content. This happens on every single page. Any idea of what this could be? Or are you even seeing it at all?

As always, thanks for your time! :) Rpvarela (talk) 23:26, 27 May 2015 (UTC)

We have a major caching issue, but i think i've fixed the css. to see the fix while the cached version catches up, you can copy Mediawiki:Hydra.css to your personal css fileGame widow (talk) 11:00, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
I think that at long last the cached css has cleared. Things should look better now, but CloudFlare has different servers in different geographic areas, so don't worry overly if you don't see it yet, it will come — Game widow (talk) 14:31, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
That did work, thanks for your help! :) Rpvarela (talk) 17:04, 28 May 2015 (UTC)

Images not displaying properly?[]

Hey Game Widow, sorry to bother you again, but it seems we have a new problem on the Wiki. We recently had to replace two map images (the main images in the Sorona and Aiguillon pages) and while I am able to see them just fine, I've got several reports of people getting broken links like in this image here. I'm not sure if it might be a problem with cookies (then again, they did ctrl + F5, and ctrl + r it).

Thank you for your time. Rpvarela (talk) 22:53, 20 June 2015 (UTC)

Nevermind that, the images were too large. We reduced them. Rpvarela (talk) 03:02, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
Sorry for the delay in replying, but i was away for a week. I'm glad you sorted it out. The limits for images are 5000px x 5000px in size or 8 MB. — Game widow (talk) 12:14, 23 June 2015 (UTC)

Help with weird format on the 'nauts pages.[]

Hey Game Widow, rpvarela here.

We're having a problem on the Wiki and I reported it to Encredechine, but I'm not entirely sure if she got my message, so I'm sending it to you instead.

You can see it below:

Hello Encredechine, rpvarela here.

Seems like something happened with the Wiki, and the Awesomenauts' individual pages are acting very strange.

I took a screenshot, which you can see by clicking here. Ignore the black background appearing as grey, it seems like a problem my converter has with transparency, but the page is displaying the font in a much smaller way and there are two sidebars (a tiny one and the normal one) as well as double skill, upgrades, information, etc. buttons.

Any idea what could be causing that? I've only noticed it today.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hope you can help us, it's been like this for a few days now.

Rpvarela (talk) 03:38, 6 February 2016 (UTC)

We upgraded to MW 1.26 and this has cause some issues. I'll have a look — Game widow (talk) 09:22, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
The wiki skin should be back in good shape now, let me know if i've missed anything Hmm, nope... I still get broken 'naut pages here. The page loads up normally, but then it breaks down like in the screenshot I've shown you above. It happens with all 'nauts pages, here's an example... not sure if you get the error as well. Rpvarela (talk) 21:48, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
Ah right. Sorry about that, i forgot you use HeaderTabs here. That extension is still broken, but it is actively being worked on — Game widow (talk) 22:08, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
Alright, thanks for the fast reply, Game Widow. :) Rpvarela (talk) 05:16, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
Hey Game Widow. While I wait for the fix to the HeaderTabs extension, I've noticed that an older issue has resurfaced as well. Please refer to "Huge space on the Wiki?" a few posts above in this page. It is the same issue. Rpvarela (talk) 19:57, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
I'm not seeing it at all. What browser are you using? and have your cleared your local cache(s)? — Game widow (talk) 09:23, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
Oh it's not on every page. Here's an example. Rpvarela (talk) 17:43, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
That's because your UpgradeBox has width: 100% and there's an ad in the upper right corner — Game widow (talk) 17:56, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
Ah, apologies then. And sorry for taking so long to reply. I've noticed the the broken headertabs redlink is gone, but there is now a <headertabs /> expansion at the bottom of the Awesomenauts' pages. Was this part of a fix and I need to do something else, or are you guys still working on it? Thanks for your continued support btw. :) Rpvarela (talk) 08:53, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
Header tabs is still being worked on, so that tag will only be there temporarily. I'll keep you apprised of developments — Game widow (talk) 11:25, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
HeaderTabs has been rewritten and is not working. I may need to tweak the skin as some selectors have changed — Game widow (talk) 16:21, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, it's a bit different than what it was, but I don't really mind, it is definitely fixed. Thank you for your help, Game Widow! :) 187.59.195.113 22:46, 1 March 2016 (UTC)

A new admin?[]

Hey Game Widow, rpvarela here.

I'd like to discuss the possibility of having a new admin to help me around with the Wiki. Murloc has been helping me often lately so I figured he'd be a suitable candidate.

Can you promote him? I don't think I have the power to do it myself.

Rpvarela (talk) 04:20, 5 March 2016 (UTC)

Done! — Game widow (talk) 13:04, 5 March 2016 (UTC)

translation permission application[]

Dear Game widow:

I am ParkZ (some one told me it's a South Korean name, but I am a Chinese). We (with some of my friends) have interest in making a Chinese Awesomenauts wiki, Robin suggested us to translate the existing one. Could you kindly (=3) give us the permission to start a Chinese translation? It helps awesomenauts grows stronger! Thank you very much!

I would be happy to help you start. We have a few different builds of mediawiki in different versions of Chinese, which one would you be using? (zh? zh-cn? zh-tw, for example?) And we should also coordinate with the administrators of the english wiki if you plan to duplicate the look as he may be a lot of help to you with technical questions. — Game widow (talk) 09:31, 23 March 2016 (UTC)

Hi,

That's cool. Thank you very much! Is the language version you mentioned the same thing as the 'language code' in this guide: (http://help.gamepedia.com/Translation_guidelines#.E4.B8.AD.E6.96.87) ? Otherwise I think zh-hans (preferably) or zh-cn is appropriate. Also, what is the meaning of 'builds', is it like a template or editable source file? As I am new to wiki, am I supposed to learn mediawiki (as seems that you are using this) to get started?

For the moment, we are going to duplicate the look for convenience. I won't push it too much recently but it will be super helpful in the near future. I tried to copy and paste the main page (http://awesomenauts.gamepedia.com/Awesomenauts_Wiki/zh), seems a lot of work to go! :P

Thank you for your help!

it is the language code. I will check if we have zh-hans (we probably do) but we certainly have zh-cn. As for "builds" there are different installations of mediawiki software which have such things as system messages and menus already translated to the language (code), which saves you time and effort. Otherwise, they are identical from the functionality point of view. I can assure you that it will be a lot of work, but you are quite welcome to start, and you've started correctly! translate that main page and ideally any linked pages on it. Once the Chinese wiki is up, i will help you move the documents you have already translated over to the new wiki and arrange for interlanguage links for the relevant pages. Welcome aboard! — Game widow (talk) 23:14, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
The Chinese wiki (using zh-hans) is ready to edit hereGame widow (talk) 12:44, 27 March 2016 (UTC)

About the new sound file extension[]

I love it!

It'll take me a long while to implement it, but I feel like the end result is really worth it! I may even shrink the font down to normal size to make it more compact!

Thank you for this! ^_^

Rpvarela (talk) 15:26, 18 September 2016 (UTC)

Glad you like it :) — Game widow (talk) 15:43, 18 September 2016 (UTC)
Actually I figured out a way of taking care of this way faster than I initially thought. All the 'naut pages are updated with the new extension. I'll do the same to announcers tomorrow (kinda tired right now XD) Rpvarela (talk) 01:06, 19 September 2016 (UTC)
Wow, well done! :) — Game widow (talk) 01:57, 19 September 2016 (UTC)

Main page index[]

Hi Game Widow! Been a while! I hope 2017 is being a good year so far. :)

I've added two more buttons to the main page index, bringing it up from 10 to 12, which kinda broke the index format (with the two buttons down there, not even centered). I wanted to break it into two rows of 6 buttons each, but I don't know how to do so. Could you help me out on this one?

(Rpvarela (talk) 03:30, 4 February 2017 (UTC))

I changed your template somewhat so that you could add as many more icons as you like and the entire list would remain centered and just rearrange itself onto however many lines fit on a given screen width. I hope that works for you, if not, we can tweak it — Game widow (talk) 13:52, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
Looks good! Thanks! :) (Rpvarela (talk) 14:27, 4 February 2017 (UTC))

Problems uploading new gifs[]

Hey Game Widow! rpvarela here.

It seems like after the Wiki server migration I'm having trouble uploading certain gifs. I get this error message after the upload, as an example:

motherofbombs44.gif5.3 mbError -200, HTTP Error., File: motherofbombs44.gif

Any idea what could be the cause of it?

Here's the message I get when I try it via the uploading tool included in the Wiki:

Unknown error: "{"xhr":{"readyState":4,"responseText":"<html>\r\n<head><title>413 Request Entity Too Large</title></head>\r\n<body bgcolor=\"white\">\r\n<center><h1>413 Request Entity Too Large</h1></center>\r\n<hr><center>nginx/1.10.3 (Ubuntu)</center>\r\n</body>\r\n</html>\r\n","status":413,"statusText":"Request Entity Too Large"},"textStatus":"error","exception":"Request Entity Too Large"}".

(not sure if "too large" refers to file width or byte size, but I've uploaded bigger files before without any issues.

forgot to sign Rpvarela (talk) 01:35, 24 October 2017 (UTC)

I will report the error and get back to you — Game widow (talk) 12:38, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
Alright, thanks for the quick reply :) Rpvarela (talk) 18:30, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
There's an official ticket in for this and it will be resolved as soon as we can — Game widow (talk) 18:53, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
Tried uploading the gifs again today jic and... it worked? Not sure what's changed, but the issue is seemingly gone. Thanks anyway, Game Widow! ^_^ Rpvarela (talk) 01:22, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, I believe the issue was resolved, but do let me know if you have any further issues. Sorry I didn't confirm it! — Game widow (talk) 11:30, 27 October 2017 (UTC)

Considerably longer loading times?[]

Hey Game Widow,

I've been experiencing signifficantly longer loading times after the Wiki server migration. I was wondering if it is related to the migration itself, to something else entirely or something on my end. I've tried both Mozilla and Chrome when browsing it and the results seem very similar. I can try and browse the Wiki at different times to see if it's maybe related to peak hours but I'm not so sure.

Any word on this in other Wikis? Rpvarela (talk) 20:59, 15 November 2017 (UTC)

We are just finishing up the big move to AWS and this last piece is the most disruptive. I apologise for the inconvenience but it's a necessary evil. Once the achievements system is moved over, things will return to normal (and hopefully even better than recently) — Game widow (talk) 21:04, 15 November 2017 (UTC)
Oh! Glad to hear it, I thought something was horribly broken. TY Game Widow, you're the best! ^_^ Rpvarela (talk) 21:08, 15 November 2017 (UTC)

Main page poll[]

Hey Game Widow, how's it going?

I've noticed that the main page poll is not working properly, but I haven't done anything to it recently, so I have no idea why. Could you help me out on this one? Happy holidays! :)

Rpvarela (talk) 03:37, 7 December 2017 (UTC)

AjaxPoll (the extension that runs that poll) had to be temporarily deactivated as it was causing problems for everything else. Sorry you were not warned. You could replace your poll with a StrawPoll if you like, or temporarily remove it from the main page until AjaxPoll is fixed — Game widow (talk) 13:51, 7 December 2017 (UTC)

Impossible to make changes to the Wiki?[]

Hi Game Widow!

rpvarela here. I keep getting the 500 internal server error whenever I try editing the Wiki. Is there something wrong with the Curse servers? Rpvarela (talk) 04:35, 16 June 2018 (UTC) EDIT: seems like to specific to this page https://awesomenauts.gamepedia.com/Template:Awesomenauts_Database but I don't know if there are others. EDIT 2: further testing show it seemingly affects all of the database pages

NVM, whatever it was, it was fixed! Rpvarela (talk) 07:46, 16 June 2018 (UTC)
I did hear that there were a few backend issues yesterday. I'm glad it appears to have been sorted. — Game widow (talk) 12:19, 16 June 2018 (UTC)
Yeah I could edit the databases now. Well, all except the https://awesomenauts.gamepedia.com/Template:Upgrade_Database one. I'll keep trying though. Not sure why only one is not working. Rpvarela (talk) 13:00, 16 June 2018 (UTC)
The oncall staff are looking into the issues right now, it's not just this wiki, but all wikis — Game widow (talk) 13:02, 16 June 2018 (UTC)

Update RSS feed[]

Hello Game Widow
The current RSS feed in the Main Page is unused by the development team and they've moved to using Steam News. Steam does have an RSS system and the URL for the game news is https://steamcommunity.com/games/204300/rss/. It might have to be refreshed once or twice to show correctly. Would it be possible to update the RSS to the new URL? --KidaJiwo (talk) 18:09, 5 July 2018 (UTC)

There are 2 rss feeds on the main page, which one requires updating ? — Game widow (talk) 18:45, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
The News one, not the External News one. --KidaJiwo (talk) 20:01, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
OK, it should be using the new url now — Game widow (talk) 21:05, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
